Card Swap: Peaceful Pines Square Lever Card

When I first got my hands on the 2015 Holiday Catalogue when it came out, I fell in love with the Peaceful Pines stamp set and framelits dies bundle. It was perfect for the upcoming holidays and I could tell it had so many fun ways to make unique cards, gift tags, and other awesome crafts with.

I signed up to go to my very first event with other demonstrators tomorrow and there was an option for swapping so I thought it would be an awesome opportunity to share something I made. I did a lot of searching online looking for exciting card ideas using the Peaceful Pines set until I found Amanda’s Tabbed Pop Out Swing Card or Square Simple Lever Card Tutorial. I didn’t quite find what I was looking for exactly but it certainly gave me an idea.

I immediately became a big fan of Amanda’s fancy folding ideas. You could turn any simple card into an awesome card with just a few extra steps.

Peaceful Pines Square Lever Card - Front OpenI needed to make seven or more (if more opt out to swap cards at the event) of these wonderful cards. I was worried it was going to take a lot of time at first, but as soon as I made the first card, it was easy peasy from then on.

I admit, there was a lot of cutting and scoring and if it wasn’t for my Stampin’ Trimmer, I probably would have given up half-way through. It made everything so much easier.

It probably would have even taken me lesser time to cut the middles squares if I had the Squares Collection Framelits. That definitely got added to my wishlist. *wink wink* I did pretty good without it, but I was lucky I only had to make seven cards. Can you imagine if I had to make fifteen? Or twenty?

Lovely card Andrea…. Bright and cheerful for Christmas! Bet your swappees were excited with it too…but not surprised the Squares Framelits have moved up your priority list! You did a lot of precise cutting without them…. Great job! And so glad you like the tutorials…

It was a bummer not having the Squares Framelits but the Stampin’ Trimmer worked just fine. Your tutorials are amazing.

Thank you so much for visiting and commenting!! Happy stamping!
